Indranil Sen

     Indranil Sen, a name synonymous in the field of Bengali music, never dreamt of becoming one of the most sought after performer of recent times. Driven by destiny, Indranil, an Engineering graduate from Chennai, has become a household name. Gifted with a melodious voice enriched with a deep rich baritone bass, this charismatic voice has become Indranil's forte and his musical signature.

     Born into a family with a rich musical heritage, Indranil is at ease performing not just songs of Tagore but folk, Bengali modern as well as Hindi repertoire. His first hit album which brought him his first Gold Disc award was a compilation of Tagore's Patriotic songs entitled "Tomar Akash Tomar Batash" in 1993. Indranil has never looked back since then as his next series of albums, namely, "Durer Balaka" and "Akash Dakay" pushed his popularity to even greater heights.

      As a frequent playback performer for numerous Bengali movies and Television serials, Indranil has been recognized by the prestigious Guinness Book of World Records as having completed as many as 172 songs, as a playback performer, for Television serials.
